Our speaker Florencia Pistritto MA DPSI MCIL is an Argentinian medical t ranslator and interpreter based in West Lothian\, Scotland. She has been working as a public service interpreter since 2015 and joined ºÃÉ«tv Scottish S ociety Steering Group in 2021.

\n \n

In 2017 she joined the Interpretation and Translation Ser vice of the City of Edinburgh Council\, where she provided interpretation services for numerous fami lies and children with additional support needs in complex assignments involving social services\, t he NHS and Edinburgh schools that work in collabor ation to deliver the Education and Health Care Pla ns (EHCP).

In addition to her work as a linguist\, Florencia is the moderator of the big gest online support group for osteosarcoma and Ewi ng’s sarcoma patients and their families\, an amba ssador for the International Arthrofibrosis Associ ation\, formerly a public speaker and media collab orator for Macmillan and Cancer Campaigns Ambassad or for Cancer Research UK.
