Find-a-Linguist - Mrs Monika Kraehmer
Statement: I have worked as a translator and interpreter over the past twenty years, out of these seven in Berlin and ten in Glasgow. Besides taking on commercial projects, such as the translation of five books for Bauer-Weltbild Media or community interpreting for Cordia Linguistics, I have also been active in the voluntary sector, working for organisations with a social and historical focus in particular.
In 2016, I graduated with an MSc in Translation Studies at the University of Glasgow, where I was able to concentrate on the translation of children's literature and audiovisual translation, especially subtitling.
